After a successful first year that challenged speed cubers from around the world, the competition returns for its second season. In association with Rubik’s Brand Limited and supported by the WCA (World Cubing Association) the Red Bull Rubk’s cube competition will be played out on four continents in three game modes finding the ultimate Rubik’s Cubers.

National Qualifiers start in August with the World Final coming later in the year. Anyone from around the world is invited to enter the championship by registering online at www.redbullmindgamers.com/rubiks and compete to be crowned the fastest Rubik’s cube solver in each game-mode and win a share of $30,000 prize purse.

Red Bull Rubik’s Cube World Cup – National (India) Qualifiers will kick off this weekend in Bangalore.

The Red Bull Rubik’s Cube World Cup will continue to develop competitive speed cubing by creating more visibility for this professional mind sport and variants on the play.  Brazil, China, India, Mexico, Spain and Russia will play host to the national qualifiers starting in August.  In collaboration with the WCA, additional three to five events will be joint competitions, in which the Red Bull competitions will be held before or after an official WCA competition. Finals will be played in Moscow in late November, where the winners will be crowned.

Red Bull Rubik’s World Cup will offer 3 game modes in competitive 1 on 1 knockouts.  Game mode 1 – Speed Cubing (fastest male and fastest female), game mode 2 – Fastest Hand (one handed solve), game mode 3 – Re-scramble.  In addition to the 3 Game Modes, there will be a Female track for the Speed Cubing Game Mode.

National qualifiers will each produce 4 winners to go forward to Moscow to compete in the World’s Finals on behalf of their home nation to enjoy a truly unique global experience. They will also have their eyes set on the World Finals prizes: a $30,000 USD prize pool.
