Robertson Leads Real KashmirMidfielder Mason Roberston scored a brace as Real Kashmir played out a 2-2 draw against hosts TRAU FC in a pulsating I-League match here on Sunday.

Man of the Match Roberton scored in the 28th and the 84th minutes while TRAU netted in the 78th and the 83rd minutes at the Khuman Lampak stadium.

It was RKFC’s second consecutive draw. They now have two points from two matches while it was the bottom placed TRAU’s first point of the tournament, having lost their opening three games.

RKFC were ahead 1-0 at halftime. Robertson’s right-footed grounder in the 28th minute put RKFC ahead.

He nicely controlled the ball and then unleashed a diagonal shot that crept into the net through the far corner post the outstretched hands of Mithun Samata.

RKFC enjoyed more of the ball possession and enjoyed several sighters at goal.and it was fitting that Robertson shot from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner.

Gnohere Krizo and Robertson were at the heart of all RKFC’s moves.

TRAU FC were put under pressure from the very beginning and managed only sporadic attempts at the Real Kashmir goal.

As the match went on, Neroca replaced Khungdongbam Krishananda Singh with Ngangbam Naocha Singh in the 59th minute and Abednego Tetteh came in the pitch in place of Sandeep Singh.

TRAU FC equalised in the 78th minute through Olariche Princewell Emeka’s header to a centre from the left flank.

After gaining momentum with the equaliser, they went ahead five minutes later when Oguchi Uche’s freekick went in after taking a deflection off Mason, much to the delight of the 11,232 strong crowd.

But Mason made amends instantly, when he met a Danish Farooq centre with an accurate header to bring RKFC level in the 84th minute.

There was some late drama when TRAU’s Abednego Tetteh put the ball into the net from close range in the 90th minute but his strike was ruled offside.

Speaking on today’s match, Real Kashmir FC co-founder, Sandeep Chattoo is optimistic about club’s success and opined “Every game, whether we win, loose or draw, is a lesson for us and improvement of our game is a constant endeavour from my team. I am sure, success will be further fortified and drawbacks will be over come”.

“It was a good game and my compliments to TRAU. As far as RKFC is concerned, we have to ensure that we will soon open up our winning account and march ahead in the I-league season.

“And the upcoming home game on December 26 will boost the team’s morale”, he added.
