Hardik Pandya, India’s zapping Allrounder has skipped Ranji Trophy starting this Month- 10 Feb. He plays for Baroda team, amid his skipping the games Kedhar Devdhar is being made the captain for Baroda team.

The move from the Indian Prodigy Hardik Pandya has come up in the time where he is struggling to battle his injuries which also owed him not bowling in the India’s dismal T20 World Cup campaign. Hardik Pandya is understood, on taking this break, as to improve himself and recover from the injuries so that he could come back in regular international cricket brigade.

Vishnu Solanki was named Devdhar’s deputy as the Baroda Cricket Association announced a 20-member squad ahead of the first phase of the tournament.

In an interview to PTI last week, BCCI President Saurav Ganguly had said he expected to see the all-rounder play in the Ranji Trophy. Hardik was injured and a break was given to him to completely recover, so that he can continue to serve Indian cricket for a long period of time. I believe I will see him play some Ranji Trophy to start with. I expect him to bowl a lot more overs and his body will get stronger, Ganguly said.

Hardik’s brother Krunal Pandya has made it into the list for Ranji Trophy games but major worrisome situation is Hardik’s injuries which are making him sit for these domestic games which could be a great warmup for him to come back stronger after drawing a flak for not performing in T20 World Cup.
