The Madhya Pradesh lad was picked up by the Lucknow Super Giants for a whopping INR 10 Crores after intense bidding among the franchises of CSK, MI, DC, SRH, and LSG. He will now be joining the likes of KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis, Ravi Bishnoi, Quinton de Kock, Manish Pandey, Jason Holder, Deepak Hooda, and Krunal Pandya in the Lucknow Super Giants side.
Avesh Khan had a brilliant IPL season in 2021 which earned him a recent call up to the Indian side and he has been bowling brilliantly in recent times. Over the years, he has been in and out of the side for Delhi Capitals and hasn’t been able to establish his potential with the ball on a longer run. However, he had a breakout season in the last IPL and was expected to be retained by the Delhi Capitals.
Avesh picked up 24 wickets in 16 IPL games in the 2021 season and he had a phenomenal economy rate of 7.37. He finished as the second-highest wicket-taker in the season and was included as a net bowler for the Indian side in the T20 World Cup 2021. He is yet to make his international debut despite being part of the squad and is likely to become a part of the potent pace attack that India has in the tank.
