San Antonio Sports has announced the inaugural San Antonio International Team Tennis Championships, scheduled to take place from November 10-12, 2023, at Freeman Coliseum. The event, presented by Frost, H-E-B, and SA Sports, will feature ten ATP and WTA professionals.

The tournament will showcase two teams, the San Antonio Smash and the Austin Capitals, comprised of top ATP and WTA players, college players, and highly ranked junior players from Texas. The San Antonio Smash will be led by Venus Williams, Elina Svitolina, John Isner, Bob Bryan, and JJ Wolf, with Wayne Bryan serving as the team’s captain. The Austin Capitals will be headed by Sloane Stephens, Peyton Stearns, Gael Monfils, Mike Bryan, and Jack Sock.

Alongside the professional players, college players from Baylor, UT Austin, Texas A&M, UTSA, UTPB, Trinity, and Southwestern universities, as well as talented juniors from John Newcomb’s Tennis Ranch and Austin Tennis Academy, will also participate in the team event.

The San Antonio International Team Tennis Championships promises to be an exciting showcase of tennis talent, bringing together top professionals, college players, and promising juniors in a thrilling competition.
