Herbalife, a renowned health and wellness company, organized a Fit Hour event on Market Street, where around 5,000 Herbalife distributors from across the United States participated in a live workout. The aim of the event was to encourage people to adopt a healthy lifestyle by staying active and fit. The proceeds from the event were dedicated to supporting the Herbalife Nutrition Foundation (HNF), which is committed to improving lives and communities worldwide.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) highlights that poor diet and low physical activity levels significantly impact overall health and are major risk factors for obesity and chronic diseases. In the United States, obesity affects a staggering 100.1 million (41.9%) adults.

The Fit Hour was led by Samantha Clayton, the Company’s vice president of Sports Performance and Fitness Education. It included a full-body cardio and functional strength routine suitable for participants of all fitness levels. The workout utilized exercise progression and regression techniques to ensure that everyone could participate and gain confidence in their movement abilities. Herbalife provided fueling stations with water and Herbalife24 CR7 Drive for the participants.

“As a Company, we are committed to engaging individuals in health and fitness and creating healthier and happier communities,” stated Samantha Clayton. “With our Fit Hour, we want to showcase the incredible impact like-minded people working out together can have in instilling a sense of community which can go a long way in pursuing health goals, all for a good cause.”

The event successfully raised over $54,000 (USD), which will be used to support HNF’s efforts in providing proper nutrition and education to promote the wellness of children. In 2022, the organization reached over 229,000 children in various global communities, supporting them with the nutrition they need to lead fulfilling lives.

The Fit Hour and other events were part of the Herbalife Extravaganza, a larger conference taking place at the Alamodome from Friday, July 28, to Sunday, July 30. The Extravaganza focuses on training and education for approximately 20,000 attendees and is open to all Herbalife independent distributors from the North American region.

The company’s commitment to health and fitness aligns with the Healthy City and Active Living initiative in San Antonio, as acknowledged by Patricia Muzquiz Cantor, the director of Convention & Sports Facilities for the City of San Antonio. The Herbalife Extravaganza and Fit Hour events contribute to building a healthier community and promoting wellness among individuals in the region.
