India will aim to seal the T20I series against Bangladesh as they meet in the second match of the three-match series at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday. Suryakumar Yadav’s team has already taken a 1-0 lead in the series after securing a seven-wicket win in the first T20I held in Gwalior.

Historically, India has dominated Bangladesh in T20 cricket, winning 14 out of 15 encounters. In their recent form, India has been strong, winning their last five T20I matches. Conversely, Bangladesh, under Najmul Hossain Shanto, has struggled, securing only one win in their last five games.

The Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi is expected to host a high-scoring match, based on recent IPL performances where teams crossed the 200-run mark eight times in ten innings played there. The weather is predicted to be clear, though there may be due later in the game, as per ESPNcricinfo.

Ahead of the match, India’s left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh mentioned that while his IPL team, Punjab Kings, did not play in Delhi this season, the wicket conditions and team plans will be evaluated by captain Suryakumar Yadav and coach Gautam Gambhir.

“Our bowlers are doing a wonderful job for the last few years. I don’t think we played that badly in the first game. We shouldn’t doubt ourselves based on one game. That’d be unfair. We have to come out of that zone and try to win the game. We tried to play aggressively with the bat. We have to be more organised, which will serve us better,” Mahmudullah stated.

Bangladesh all-rounder Mahmudullah, who recently announced his retirement from T20I cricket to focus on ODIs, praised his team’s bowlers for their performances over the past few years. The final T20I match of the series in Hyderabad will be Mahmudullah’s last appearance for Bangladesh in the T20I format.
