Day 3 of the ongoing fourth Test between India and England witnessed a spectacular display of cricket with standout performances from Indian players. Despite facing challenges on Day 2, India’s Dhruv Jurel showcased determination with a brilliant innings, scoring an inspirational 90 to narrow England’s led to just 46 runs.

In the second innings, India’s bowlers, led by R Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav, delivered a sensational performance, dismissing England for 145. Ashwin’s five-wicket haul, combined with Kuldeep’s four wickets, played a pivotal role in India’s dominant bowling display, putting them in a strong position in the Test match. The day was marked by epic action and drama, making it a memorable chapter in the ongoing Test series.

Reacting to Kuldeep’s display, England legend Michael Vaughan had special praise for the Indian spinner. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, he noted, “The best compliment I can give @imkuldeep18 .. Today he has bowled today like a left armed Shane Warne ..”

Then, Delhi Capitals, Kuldeep’s IPL club, posted Vaughan’s tweet on X, which the former player retweeted and noted, “He absolutely would have loved how Kuldeep bowled today …”

Meanwhile, former England captain Alastair Cook heaped praise on the Indian spinners. Speaking on TNT Sports, he stated, “Today we’ve seen India’s spinners causing chaos on a turning pitch and I think that’s what a lot of us were worried about before the series.”

“To win a Test against this India team in their own conditions, England have to be on it for four whole days…They have been very good for two and a half days, but the last few hours they weren’t on it and India have burst through the door. England have got a mountain to climb,” he attached.

In a standout performance, Kuldeep Yadav bowled exceptionally well, claiming four wickets while giving away only 22 runs in his 15 overs. R Ashwin also made a significant impact, taking five wickets in the same number of overs but conceding 51 runs. Facing a target of 192 runs, India displayed resilience as they ended Day 3 without losing any wickets, with Rohit Sharma scoring an unbeaten 24 and Yashasvi Jaiswal at 16. The poised batting performance sets India in a strong position to chase the target on Day 4 of the ongoing fourth Test against England.
