Spectrum, one of the largest broadband providers in the U.S., has declared a major multi-year partnership with TeamSnap, the leading youth sports management platform with 25 million users. This agreement will triple Spectrum’s investment in community sports, sponsoring over 720 youth sports leagues nationwide through 2027. Building on a successful pilot program, this collaboration marks one of the most significant youth sports partnerships in the country, reinforcing Spectrum’s commitment to supporting young athletes and local communities.
“Teaming up with TeamSnap is truly a home run for Spectrum because so many of the families we serve, and our employees who are their neighbors, have children who play in local sports leagues,” stated Sharon Peters, Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer for Spectrum. “Our support of TeamSnap will provide essential resources, funding and memorable experiences to inspire young athletes across the nation, foster a lifelong love for their sport and create opportunities that extend beyond the field.”
The partnership between TeamSnap and Spectrum began in the fall of 2023 and now supports 240 leagues annually across more than 30 markets within Spectrum’s 41-state footprint. Leveraging TeamSnap’s unique ability to impact youth sport communities, Spectrum has reached more than 150,000 youth sports households through branded jerseys, field signage and custom communications. Soccer, baseball and softball emerged as key focus areas, underscoring Spectrum’s alignment with some of the most widely played youth sports on the TeamSnap platform, as well as across the United States.
“TeamSnap’s partnership with Spectrum is about more than just sponsorships; it’s about creating opportunities and experiences that resonate with families,” stated Nicole McCormack, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Brand Solutions at TeamSnap. “As the only platform that connects brands with youth sports communities at scale, TeamSnap helps Spectrum deliver on its commitment to local communities, one practice, one game, one team at a time.”
Spectrum’s Support Provides Scholarships and Equipment, Reduces Player Costs
Spectrum’s expanded three-year partnership with TeamSnap will provide sponsorships to more than 720 local youth leagues by 2027, with a significant portion of Spectrum’s support going directly back to the leagues and teams. Utilizing TeamSnap’s corporate sponsorships in this way helps reduce the cost of participation, provides scholarships for players in need and delivers new equipment to improve the experience for young athletes.
“Spectrum’s sponsorship of Elmjack Little League helped fund upgrades to our facilities and equipment, enhancing the overall experience for players and fans alike,” stated Milo Kaminsky, Board Member of Elmjack Little League in Queens, N.Y. “Their support helped create a more welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone who comes out to enjoy the games.”
Among the Spectrum markets where sponsorships are planned for this spring are Albany, Austin, Birmingham, Charlotte, Cheyenne, Cleveland, Dallas-Fort Worth, Green Bay-Appleton, Lexington, New York, Orlando, Portland, Saint Louis and Syracuse. Additionally, Spectrum and TeamSnap are partnering to sponsor soccer and Little League teams impacting nearly 2,000 youths in the Asheville, N.C. and Greenville, S.C. areas hit hard by last fall’s hurricanes, as well as in Los Angeles, where the community is rebuilding from recent wildfires.
Connecting Community Sports to the Big Leagues
In addition to supporting local leagues, Spectrum has deepened its impact by connecting community sports with professional athletics. In 2024, tapping into Spectrum’s partnerships with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Tampa Bay Rays, Spectrum and TeamSnap created exclusive game-day experiences for youth players and their families, including VIP stadium access and on-field meet-and-greets with Major League players. These events celebrated the achievements of local leagues and showcased Spectrum’s support of communities where its customers and employees live and work.
