The ‘Notorious’ Irish Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) star Conor McGregor has signed up a deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to fight six bouts including the most awaited UFC 229.
The president of UFC Dana White informed while addressing the media that the contract covers eight fights however, later correcting himself he confirmed that the deal which is sealed for six matches, including UFC 229 in which Conor McGregor will clash with the Russian opponent Khabib Nurmagomedov on 6th October.
The real sum behind the deal has not been revealed however, Dana White said that the deal could make good money for Conor Mcgrgregor.
Per contracts signed between them also specify that Conor McGregor’s new whiskey brand, ‘Proper Whiskey’, will be a sponsor at every UFC match in which the 30-year old will fight.
“It’s not hard to do a deal with Conor McGregor because we know what he’s worth,” said White, speaking to ESPN.
Seeing the return of ‘the Notorious’ to Octagon, Dana white revealed that the pay-per-view has reached tremendous high and were trending towards the 2.5 Million mark. Above all, the tickets for the event sold out within dot three minutes.
It should be noted, that Conor is returning to the octagon ring after 2016 when he played last match against Alvarez.
Meanwhile, there has been criticism coming for the UFC decision to let Conor McGregor to play again in the Octagon after his lengthy layoffs and Legal issues, However, money is the major concern here and dana known the real worth of Conor McGregor.
