Peloton has added two new products for their home smart gym lineup. While both offer the same price tag, the Bike+ costs $2,495, and the Tread costs $2,495. The new exercise bike combines as the premium version of Peloton’s original stationary cycle, that will continue on sale at $1,895. The Tread is the new entry-level Peloton treadmill product with the starting cost of the Tread+ at $4,295.
The new Peloton Bike+ comprises a 23.8″ rotating, HD resolution touchscreen display. It can move 180 degrees in each direction that allows at-home exercisers to utilize the screen (and Peloton’s range of remote workout guidance and classes) while they’re off the bike. There is a one-tap contactless combination with Apple Gymkit that enables you to sync workouts to your Apple Watch, a built-in four-speaker sound system, and an Auto-Follow protection system compares the resistance of the bike depending on your target metrics for heart rate and breathing.
The Bike+ sells for $2,495, which is approximately $600 more than the previously adjusted priced entry-level bike. It has started sales in Canada, the US, and Germany starting on September 9, and will be available on a financing plan for installment payments. The Peloton will also make it available on a 30-day home-trial basis, as it does on its current equipment.
Moreover, the new Tread will be accessible over a financing period with installment payments and proceeds with the trial period. It’s estimated to launch in early 2021 in both the US and Canada but will sell a bit ahead in the UK (on December 26, 2020). According to the company, Germany will also receive a new treadmill, but that’ll be following 2021.
