Huawei spin-off Honor is ready to declare the Honor Band 6 as the newest part of its fitness tracker range. There are assumptions that the new fitness tracker might get launched on 3rd November. The company released a report on Chinese social media site Weibo, declaring its arrival would mark a new era for full-screen wearables. They are planning to switch the display technology.
The Honor Band 5 was announced in July 2019, featured a 0.95-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with a 240 x 120 resolution. So we can assume that the screen size and resolution will receive a sizeable bump up on the Band 6.
Besides some screen improvements, there are no details of the sort of fitness tracking features it’ll be carrying. Honor Band 5 was featured with an activity tracker, a heart rate monitor support, exercise monitor, notifications accessibility, and a SpO2 monitor. We can only assume that there are chances that they might add a few more features giving price a light variation that doesn’t go out of budget too.
Band 5 is priced at $36.99, and the question will be whether Honor will succeed to hold that price down with the teased changes they’re set to make. Therefore, Honor has not specified that price range of the Band 6.
In terms of a launch, it will be available in China and eventually make it out into other countries soon.
