The oldest football association and the governing body of association football in England, The Football Association (FA) has announced a three-years deal with the British Sportswear brand Mitre, to supply soccer balls.
Starting up with the next 2018/19 season, Mitre will now replace NIKE as the Official Soccer Ball Supplier for all competitions under the cap of The football Association (FA), including the most awaited FA Cup. However, Nike the US sportswear biggie has one more to year as the Official Soccer Ball supplier for the premier league. Including the present year, the deal will extend up to 2020, meeting soccer balls requirements of the FA Cup, the Women’s FA Cup, the FA Women’s Super League, the FA Women’s Championship, the FA Trophy and the FA Vase. The sportswear giant, Mitre being an official Soccer Ball supplier is directed to render discrete design to each and every soccer ball according to the pertinent competition’s logo.
The first event to use Mitre-brand soccer balls will be this Sunday’s (05/08/18) community shield curtain-raising fixtures.
Mark Bullingham, group commercial and marketing director at the FA states,“We seek to maintain the highest of standards across all of our competitions, and it is fitting that we have chosen a manufacturer with a history of excellence as our official football supplier for the next three seasons.” he adds further , “We look forward to unveiling the first new ball at the Community Shield and to working closely with Mitre to ensure our partnership reaches its full potential.
