Giorgio Armani, the Italian major Fashion brand has signed a four-year deal with the Italian Football Federation(FIGC) to provide off-field formal outfits to the national soccer teams.
As a part of the deal, Armani will provide formal outfits from its Emporio Armani Range for the men’s, Women’s and Under-21 national teams.
It should be noted that Armani has not collaborated with the Italian National team as the fashion wear brand has provided formal outfits for the 1994 FIFA World Cup and also for the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games.
As in part of the outfits besides shirts, Armani will provide shoes, a duffel bag, a backpack and Emporio Glasses for the playing squads.
FIGC president Gabriele Gravina said: “We are proud that Italian excellence like Emporio Armani has decided to link its brand to the Italian national football teams.”
“This agreement makes me particularly happy,” Giorgio Armani added: “It is another way of bringing Italianness to the world.”
Armani has held a number of sports partnerships in the past including the English national team, Chelsea and Bayern Munich.
