According to a story published in CNBC, Nike will make $ 22,540, 000 from the on-camera exposure during the final round of Masters broadcast on CBS. The logo of the apparel athlete company was featured on Wood’s hat, shirt, pants and shoes. By Sunday afternoon, accessories worn by Tiger Woods on Nike’s website were all sold out.
Nike stood by the 43 years old golfer during the darkest of his career. Shortly after his win, Nike released a video titled ‘never stop chasing your crazy dreams’ which have received massive applause online. On social media, Tiger’s triumph drew congratulatory note from sportsperson and politicians alike. Serena Williams tweeted, “I am literally in tears watching Tiger Woods. This is greatness like no other. Knowing all you have been through physically to come back and do what you did today? Congrats a million times.” Barack Obama and President Donald Trump, too conveyed their wishes to Woods on Twitter.
