Arsenal is giving a tough fight to their EPL rivals in terms of using avant-garde technology. British newspaper, The Sun reported this yesterday.
Arsenal Boss, Unai Emery is using the latest technology to monitor to every single training season, assessing when players are prone to injury. The club is doing everything it can to say top off the game. This was possible by the partnership signed between Arsenal and tech giant, Acronis.
Not just the players using technology to hone their skill, supporters are gaining new experiences out of it. They will be presented with 360 degree of the matches. The club officials hope this will provide better opportunities to fans to get closer to the stars.
The IT director of the club, Christelle Heikkila is the captain behind this new technology venture. She commented to The Sun, “Data can provide an objective and unbiased view of performances across multiple seasons and teams. Furthermore, data never forgets. It can be sorted, accessed and analyzed from different points in terms. Data also improves our knowledge in the most efficient manner. For example providing us pre-match information on an unfamiliar European team in a short-time frame which would be difficult using scouting along.”
Las summer, Arsenal strengthened their teach team by adding Russian data analyst Mikhail Zhilkin who focused on analyzing injury and physical data after a string of players were forced on the treatment table.
