Uefa.Tv will now include a host of Bundesliga content after an agreement with German Football League. Uefa.Tv is a dedicated free-to-air over-the-top (OTT) service from UEFA, the governing body of European Soccer.
Uefa.tv is arranged to stream live matches from Uefa’s women’s match, youth and futsal competitions to relevant markets. The free-to-registration service will also offer on-demand content from the body’s various leagues and events, including the Champion’s league, as well as archival features.
Bundesliga is the first national league to be featured on the platform with its own channel.
Uefa.tv’s German soccer coverage will include highlights of weekend matches on Monday nights, as well as ‘Bundesliga special’ production, available in the league’s prominent international markets including the UK, Italy, Poland, Russia, Spain and Turkey as well the Middle East and Africa.
The president of Uefa, Aleksander Ceferin said, “The digital landscape is evolving and we need to be in a position where we can anticipate and respond to this changes. Uefa is an innovative organization and introducing this platform, we will be making football and competitors more accessible to supporters around the world.
Our partnership with the Bundesliga is yet another example of the unity of European Football and clearly demonstrates our desire to address future opportunities together for the promotion of our sport.”
The Bundesliga channel which has been made available to Uefa.tv subscribers, will host historical matches, as well as classic Uefa Champions League matches involving German teams.
