The national Capital is going to host 2020’s International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Combined World cup, scheduled to be held from 15th-26th March next year.

The Combined World Cup will include shooting events in rifle, pistol and Shortgun. Following an approval from ISS, the dates have been finalized on Monday.

“It is to confirm that the ISSF Executive Committee has approved the dates of the 2020 ISSF World Cup stages. We herewith confirm that the dates for the ISSF World Cup in Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun events to be held in New Delhi, India, are as following: 15 March 26 March 2020,” the sport’s global body wrote in a letter to the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI).

The upcoming event will be a season-opening World Cup for rifle and pistol shooters whereas it will mark second in number for shotgun shooters.

As in 2020’s early event of shooting, the World Cup will provide golden platform to get themselves prepared before they hit to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

It should be noted, India has been organising such international level of tournaments in the recent times including world cup finals.

India has hosted a World Cup this year in February which offered Olympic quota places for Tokyo. The Delhi based Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range will play as the host of this international shooting event for the second times.
