The chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik inaugurated state’s first and country fourth Abhinav Bindra Targeting Performance (ATBP) centre at the Kalinga Stadium.
The ATBP Centre which focuses to produce high-end generation in the field of clinical fitness, sports science and rehabilitation will be the most advanced centre among other existing other Indian centres. With the institution of the centre, Bhubaneswar will be the fourth city to house ATBP following Mohali, Delhi and Bengaluru to have such facilities for creating much sports fitness awareness.
At the one end, where the ATBP centre will offer technical help and expertise prematurely physiotherapy and rehabilitation on the other end the state government pledged to meet all requirement all necessary infrastructure.
“Delighted to Partner with Odisha and ship the Center in a file 40 abnormal days. Athletes may have access beginning the 20th of February to leading edge practices and generation which contains Physiology Testing and Training , Bio mechanics testing and training, Recovery &rehab,” tweeted Bindra, founder and Olympian.
The services which will be available at the newly launched Centre includes performance enhancement, injury prevention and management biomechanics, physiology testing and training, recovery as well as strength and conditioning training.
The Chief Minister said it will encourage athletes to use sports science to enhance their performance.
“Coaching has always been good in Odisha, but now with best available technology, our athletes will have access to a state of the art, world class sports medicine and rehab setup,” he added.
Olympian shooter Abhinav Bindra said, “The centre has been made with the aim of encouraging athletes to use sports science to add value to their training routine. With cutting edge technology from all over the world in physiology, biomechanics, functional training and recovery, we aspire to take the best care of the athletes with us.”
“As the state govt has no longer many high-performance coaching centres in various disciplines to supply higher coaching to sportsperson in Odisha and outside, the ABTP will likely be a super boon for them,” said a sports division respectable.
