Top flight Italian soccer club, AC Milan has introduced a new mobile application. Club officials claimed it would set a first for the domestic games by offering a free live stream of friendly match at Serie C outfit Cesena.
The app initially launches for iOS devices in Italian and English. AC Milan is preparing to launch an android version ahead of the start of th3 2019-20 Serie A season on Saturday.
The mobile app aims to enhance fan experience through live events, exclusive content, daily news and updates along with integrated ticket and merchandise stores.
AC Milan supporters can utilize the app during match day and get access to official line-ups, player stats, live blogging and updates and alerts. This feature also gives fans the opportunity to vote for the Most Valuable Player of the match.
The app will deliver exclusive content and behind-the-scene access, as well as offering links for fans to buy match day tickets and official merchandise through direct access to the club’s online store.
Casper Stysvig, the chief revenue officer of AC Milan said, “There will be further develpments over the coming months that will allow the club to improve the level of service and satisfaction for both fans and commercial partners.”
Lamberto Siega, the club’s marketing and digital director added, “They key focus is to provide our fans with a hub that offers an immersive and exclusive experience. This will allow us to know our fans better through data, which in turn means offering them a more relevant and personalized experience.”
