Tech giant Amazon has obtained the broadcasting right of WTA. Amazon prime video will stream the regular tour of women’s from next year.

According to a news report published in British newspaper Daily Mail, the previous broadcaster was notified via email that they wouldn’t be telecasting the tournament anymore. BT sport was in-charge of airing WTA matches since 2013.

Amazon already possesses the media rights of Men’s ATP world tour and the US Open Grand Slam. Daily Mail also reveals that the company was also trying to seize broadcasting rights for Wimbledon. But All England Lawn Tennis Club turned down their offer.

Amazon has been aggressively broadening their streaming service in UK. They are all set to show English premier league for the first time. Their will continue to stream EPL till 2022.

Though there have been complaints surfacing regarding the quality of their service. The viewers complained about the sound quality and the inability to record matches. Some viewers also said that they faced trouble to find the network.
