Premier league Club Arsenal have confirmed a deal worth of £ 300 million with the German sports brand adidas to be their official kit sponsor for five years straight.
In a statement of the club, “Arsenal and Adidas have agreed a new kit partnership, effective from July 1, 2019,”.
The deal between the two big European entities is going to come into effect by July next year which will also put an end to the five years association of Gunners with adidas’s German rival brand of Puma.
In order to skim the deal, Adidas has offered a £150 million (100%) raise on the Puma contract signed in 2014.
With the deal with Adidas, Arsenal has broken a gap of three decades since both have not been associated in 1990.
It should be noted, the deal marks adidas’s return to the Arsenal camp almost after a period off three decades-the club and the leading German sports brand have not been associated since 1990.
Jubilant Arsenal Fans have started posting the probable jersey designs on Twitter.

Erstwhile, adidas has provided some of the iconic jerseys, including the gunners most famous win at Anfiled in 1989 which was featured by three stripes jersey, and later Adidas also contributed with their iconic ‘bruised banana’ kit in the early 1990s.
