In a major regional partnership deal, Spanish soccer giants Barcelona have signed up with a Chinese pharmaceutical brand Yunnan Baiyao.
The partnership deal which will run for three year, makes the Chinese pharmaceutical company,Yunnan Baiyao, a partner across the Asian-Pacific region for the soccer club, majorly in China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
According to the deal, Barcelona will open three ‘Barca Academy’ soccer schools in the south-western cities of china including Lijiang, Kunming and Fuxian Lake.
With the new addition of Barcelona’s academy in the region makes the overall number to 49 across the world, six in China and 18 in the Asian continent.
The Spanish club, Barcelona back in home also plans to revamp their Camp Nou stadium, which is a long-term project that will increase the stadium capacity and includes the construction of a brand-new basketball arena.
Meanwhile, on the pitch, the club is on a high after easing past arch-rivals Real Madrid in last weekend’s El Clasico, sealing an emphatic 5-1 victory.
