The winner of Indian Super League, Bengaluru FC will open its latest football school in Ahmedabad. The school will function at the Adani Shantigram Football ground. This is the first time the football team opened a center outside of Karnataka.
Currently, it has 14 centers in Bengaluru and after a deal with Sporthood, the number of the football centers is expected to grow up to 35.
Naushad Moosa, the club’s head of Youth Development commented on Monday, “We are proud to announce our first center outside of Karnataka. During the summer cup earlier this year, we had classes in Mangalore. The move to Gujarat highlights another step towards harnessing the talent from outside Karnataka. We hope to identify children with potential and add them to our academy through Bengaluru FC schools.”
Ranjeev Mahidru, the CEO of Adani Township and Real estate Company welcomed the move wholeheartedly. He remarked, “Exposure to latest training and mentorship could be defining development for aspiring footballers in Ahmedabad and neighboring areas.”
The classes at the Bengaluru FC football center will commence from 4th June. Teaching lessons will be held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between 6PM to 7 PM for children aged 5 to 16 years.
The program will be conducted by licensed youth coaches of the club, who will keep an eye on the progress of the young players. All the trainers will have to follow the technical curriculum by the club’s head of youth development.
