DAZN, the global sports streaming platform has entered into a sub-licensing partnership with SportA. Under the agreement, the OTT service will broadcast women’s world cup matches to its German subscribers.

According the deal, DAZN is going to broadcast 26 live throughout the tournament. The world championship will start from next month in France. They will also broadcast every game featuring the German national team and from quarter-final every match onward.

On top of all the matches, DAZN has agreed to show post-match highlights from all the 52 games on its soccer platform Spox and Goal which will create highlight packages for their respective social media channels.

James Rushton, the chief revenue officer of DAZN said, “With this unprecedented level of interest, we are giving fans in Germany extensive coverage across our bands. With 26 live matches, every one featuring the German team and highlights of all 52, we will also produce exclusive interviews and feature content across all platforms to take fans closer to the biggest and brightest star athletes.

The month-long tournament, featuring favorites from US, Germany and England, looks set to raise the bar for the women’s game, and it will be a great addition to our summer line-up of stellar international football.”
