Celebrating its 90th anniversary, Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari has unveiled a new high-end Formula One car in Maranello in order to tap its steep competitor’s Mercedes dominance in the circuit. At the time of presentation of the car, Team principal Mattia Binotto and F1 drivers Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc were present on the stage. The Car has been named SF90 in order to mark the Italian car manufacturer’s legacy of 90 years in 2019.
The newly launched car has been given a name SF90 celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Italian Major Car Manufacturer in 2019. The Guest present on the stage was later joined by the Ferrari Chairman John Elkann and CEO Louis Camilleri. The CEO of the car Manufacture, Louis Camilleri said,” The car embodies the latest state of the art technology, reflects the new regulations for the coming season and is the fruit of the combines enormous work and talent of everyone in the Scuderia”.
The New Matte Livery radiates the classic Ferrari red, with splashes of black and hardly any white. Vettel later expressed his foresightedness and said,” I am really excited and I can’t wait to get in,” he added, I am looking forward to this year. I think the team is on the right path and hopefully we can continue improving.”
It should be noted that Vettel won the opening two races of the 2018 season and grabbed pole position in three of the first four however as the year went on Ferrari’s performance in circuit went down enabling Mercedes to Win a fifth straight drivers’ title with Lewis Hamilton.
Talking about winning a title, Ferrari has not won a title since grabbing the 2008 constructors’ championship. The team is expecting much with the newly introduced car as the Australian Grand Prix is scheduled to start from 17th of March 2019.
