The Army Public School, Bolarum celebrated the Fit India Week with fervor and festivity under the guidance of Principal Smitha Govind. This week was dedicated to fitness with the objective to instill the importance of good health not only in students but also in teachers and the school staff.
According to a press release from the APS Bolarum, it was a step to emphasis the importance of fitness among students during this pandemic period. To be in sync with the purpose of the project, children and teachers participated in an aerobic session to increase stamina and reduce fatigue.
A Quiz on health and fitness was conducted to spread awareness on hygiene and fitness. It provided a deep insight on the importance of cleanliness on health. Inspirational webinars on Mental Health were conducted on a class-wise basis.
The objective of the session was to educate the students about the prevalent mental health issues of our society today and to sensitize them so they safe guard themselves and be adept to help the elder generation, the release added.
