Football Association engaged in a multi-year sponsorship deal with BT. BT Group plc is a British multi-national telecommunications holding company headquartered in London.

According to BBC, 50 million Euros are changing hands in this partnership. Football Association was looking for a lead sponsor since its seven-year partnership deal with Vauxhall expired following the 2018 world cup. The partnership will be valid till 2024.

This new deal has been announced before the Women’s World Cup and men’s National league Finals. It is speculated to be worth of close 10 million a year.

EE, a division of BT Group will continue to be the main sponsor of Wembley Stadium.

Marc Allera, the chief executive of BT’s consumer division commented on the deal with Football Association, “This partnership will reach all areas of football, including grassroots football and communities up and down the country.”

All 28 squads of England will come under the agreement. The logo of the company will appear on all development, futsal and disability training kit.

Mark Bullingham, the chief commercial and football development officer stated, “This is a great start to an exciting week for England football, with lionesses starting their world cup campaign and the men’s senior team in the final of Nation’s league.”
