Garmin will soon add pregnancy tracking feature to its Garmin Connect app and several of its sports devices and smartwatches.

While fitness trackers and watchmakers ignored women’s health features for a long time, menstrual cycle tracking has become a standard feature found on Fitbit fitness trackers, Apple Watch Series 6, and Garmin devices.

But this latest upgrade enables women to proceed to track their health throughout pregnancy.

The users will find the new features under Health Statics in Garmin Connect, where it’s added with Menstrual Cycle. They can choose “Pregnant” from the cycle types given as “Regular,” “Irregular,” and “No Period”).

Once settings are done, users will track pregnancy symptoms such as dizziness, fatigue, and headaches, followed by baby movements such as kicks. The users will also get a summary of the data to show it at the medical check-ups.

The fitness device will give exercise and nutrition tips and customized reminders for drinking water and Kegel exercises and notify parents of their baby’s overall size based on the recorded due date.

Pregnancy tracking is available on several Garmin devices such as the Garmin Venu, Vivoactive 4, Forerunner, and Fenix series. You can buy them at the Connect IQ store.

There’s also a Contraction Timer app that can be utilized to input contractions’ duration and frequency during labor.

Pregnancy tracking can be accessed through the Women’s Health Tracking widget for women with a Vivomove hybrid smartwatch.
