In a bid to promote sports fraternity and assist young Indian athletes to garnish their talent for international junctions, Great Sports Infra has been laying down supporting turf for their holistic athletics development.
Great Sports Infra nourishes young Indian athletes to hone their talent at an early stage of their sporting timeline and boosts them to deliver utmost performance at several tournaments.
As in their recent sports development program, Great Sports Infra has been associated with Swapna Barman a Gold medallist heptathlete who has made India at recently concluded Asian Games 2018.
Swapna Barman hails from a small city of West Bengal, Jalpaiguri and belongs to an underprivileged family having a mother working at a tea-estate and her father working as a rickshaw driver, consequently, she has to face acute hardships of life besides having extra-toe feet.
Despite, it was her perseverance and high zeal to perform which transformed her to a great athlete winning a gold medal at international junction Asian games 2018.
It should be noted that the Great Sports Infra came in support of Swapna for the second time in 2018.
While saying more about their association with Swapna Barman, Mr. Anil Kumar, MD, Great Sports Infra, said “We, at Great Sports Infra, partner with the GoSports Foundation, which identifies promising sportspersons across various sports at a young age and provides them the resources for the best training, nutrition, kit and guidance. Besides her, there is a huge line of athletes which have been benefitted by the crucial efforts put by the South-east Asian major turf manufacturers and exporters which includes Rani Rampal (Hockey), Anuradha Vaidyanathan (Triathlete), Shashi Singhatia (Haryana State Gold Medallist and an upcoming Archer), Anurag Kuruvada (U-7 State Chess Champion).
Notably, SGI has helped each and every athlete across the different genre of sports to train better with proper infrastructure equipping them to excel on a global platform.
In its other social responsibility, SGI has also been contributing to a lot much social cause stimulating associations like Green Peace, HelpAge India, Aitia, and organizations like Vibha. In the wake to train and nurture more underprivileged athletes, SGI has also contributed in constructing a school dedicated to them as well as host a number of sports tournaments and other similar initiatives.
