Indian social networking site, Helo is sponsoring the Indian wheelchair cricket team. The team will participate in Asia Cup 2019 which is scheduled to take place in Nepal from 15th May. The company will promote the wheelchair team on its platform.

As a social media platform, the partnership is a first of its kind. They will be the first one to broadcast various updates, information and behind-the-activity on its platform. The players from the wheelchair team joined the campaign to connect with the local communities across India.

Shyamanga Barooah, Helo’s head of content Operation said, “Bringing communities together and empowering them through content lies at the core of Helo’s cultural ethos. We are delighted to support Indian Wheelchair Cricket Association (WCA) as we believe that this partnership is in line with our ongoing missions of connecting our users with the wider community.”

The Wheelchair Cricket Association shares affiliation to the Disabled Sporting Society and has sixteen state teams under it. The players are 70-90 percent physically challenged and will do batting, bowling, fielding and running on wheelchair only.
