Premier global nutrition company, Herbalife Nutrition, announced today its Chairman and CEO, John Agwunobi, has been invited to speak at the Council for Responsible Nutrition’s (CRN), 2022 Now, New, Next annual supplement industry symposium in Phoenix, Arizona, on October 12. In a fireside chat, Agwunobi will discuss the role of dietary supplements in preventative nutrition, industry regulation, and the Company’s commitment to eliminating hunger and improving access to good nutrition around the world.
Now, New, Next invites dietary supplement and functional food industry leaders to be part of the conversation on the latest science, challenges the nutrition industry is currently facing, insights for identifying and optimizing what’s new, and preparing for what’s to come. CRN is the leading trade association representing dietary supplement and functional food manufacturers and ingredient suppliers. CRN member companies produce a large portion of the dietary supplements marketed in the United States and globally.
“Good nutrition is the foundation for healthy lifestyles, and nutritional supplements have an important role to play,” said John Agwunobi, Chairman and CEO, Herbalife Nutrition. “As an industry, we must remain committed to the highest quality standards for all our product offerings and work together to unlock critical opportunities to improve the world through purposeful initiatives, education, innovation and technology.”
Now, New, Next will also highlight the CRN Foundation’s new multi-year initiative, #Act4Access, aimed to improve nutrition and health by increasing access to both dietary supplement products and to information about the connections between supplements/functional food and better nutrition and health. The program aims to elevate the importance of vitamin supplementation, with evidence showing that nearly one-third of the U.S. population is at risk of deficiency in at least one vitamin or nutrient.
#Act4Access runs from June through September and is aligned with Herbalife Nutrition’s ongoing global initiative, Nutrition for Zero Hunger, committed to eradicating hunger and tackling food insecurity around the world.
Herbalife Nutrition has been a corporate board member of the Council for Responsible Nutrition for 25 years. Mike Yatcilla, senior vice president of R&D, at Herbalife Nutrition currently sits on CRN’s Board of Directors.
