Ending its three years association with the English coach, Kerala Blasters has sacked David James following a 6-1 humiliating loss by the Mumbai City FC.
Kerala Blasters has so far is on a winless run in the 2018-19 season of the Indian Super League for 11 matches after winning their opening game against ATK.
Marking such removal of coach in the mid-way of any tournament for the second time, the Blasters in the last season has removed Rene Meulensteen a former Manchester United coach for showing no good performance.
“Kerala Blasters and David James have decided to end their association on a mutual consent. The club would like to thank David for his efforts towards the team and wishes him all the very best in his career,” said Kerala Blasters CEO Varun Tripuraneni in a statement released by the club on Tuesday.
What in real worked against James was losing the support of the Kerala Blasters fans. Amid such debacle performance in the current season of ISL, Fans are boycotting home matches and took to social media to express their displeasure.
