Manchester United is set to seal a deal for Spanish winger Mateo Mejia after the Red Devils agreed to a fee of 600,000 euros with his club Real Zaragoza.

The 16 –year-old has attracted attention from across Europe in the last 12 months and the Reds saw off competition from Premier League rivals to the teenager’s signature.

Ole Gunner Solskjaer has torn up United’s transfer strategy since moving to the club and has moved away from a superstar approach this summer.

The Norwegian wants United to focus on up-and-coming talent and the Sun claim Mejia’s move to the Theater of Dreams is imminent.

Though he will initially play for the academy side of Manchester United, Meija will be no doubt hoping to break into the first team as there’s a position available on the right flank.

Solsjaer was keen on signing Dortmund star Jadon Sancho but United’s failure to qualify for the Champion’s league scuppered a move.

United haven’t had a settled right winger since Antonio Valencia in the 2012/13 season and much of their attack comes down the left.

Daniel James remains Manchester United’s only signing so far this summer though they hope to add Aron Wan-Bissaka in the next week.
