The Barcelona based major multimedia communications,  Mediapro has been awarded media rights for the 2022 World Cup Qatar by FIFA.

Mediapro will air each and every game of this major event starting from 21st November to 18th December 2022.

In a statement Mediapro said it will launch a 24/7 running television channel which will focus on the deliberate coverage of the world Cup which will feature additional news, interviews, training sessions, press conferences, programming and historic matches.

As per the part of the deal, Mediapro wil also over 2019 Women’s World Cup scheduled to take place from 7th June to 7th July 2019.

Covering  the other allied Fifa sponsored matches, Mediapro will also include a number of competitions during the course of period 2019 to 2022 including Under-20 World Cup in Poland, the 2019 Under-17 World Cup in Peru; and the 2019 Beach Soccer World Cup in Paraguay. Next year’s Futsal World Cup in Lithuania is also incorporated into the deal.

Last year’s World Cup in Russia was broadcast in Spain by Mediaset, which showed all 64 games on its free-to-air channels Telecinco and Cuatro.
