Mohun Bagan officials are trying to maintain order while club is getting revamp. They got their hand full with the home matches of the i-league at their home ground. With that target in mind, infrastructural development and renovation work had commenced at the Mohun Bagan club premises at the beginning of this month. Time of India reports more details.

The construction plan of the renovation includes two dressing rooms (for home town and away team), match officials room, broadcasting and telecast room, medical room and ball boys’ room and also a gymnasium.

According to Time of India’s sources, a complaint last week stalled the renovation work. But, owing to a prompt action from all parties concerned, the work has resumed once again and is back on track.

Debashish Dutta, the finance secretary of Mohun Bagan said, “The work had got stopped for a few days. We immediately got in touch with the army and had to make altercation to the plans. Things are back on track now. We are thankful to the Army and the Police for their prompt response and co-operation in resolving the matter. We have floodlights installed at our club ground. But in order to organize the home matches of i-league matches here, these infrastructural developments are needed. We also thank Mamta Banerjee for the financial help in the infrastructural work.”

Meanwhile, before the infrastructural development and renovation work had started, the green and maroons officials had inaugurated a renovated and remodeled cafeteria last month in the club premises.
