According to a new agreement between Automobile Club of Italy and Formula One, Monza will be the venue for Italian Grand Pix till 2024.

The historic track has an unbeatable record of hosting several memorable races. It was the venue for every edition of Italy’s round of the F1 world championship since the series’ formation in 1950. All the other F1 venue’s future is in doubt as most their deals are expiring this year. Recently, Silverstone denied reports that it entered three year agreement with British Grand Prix.

In this circumstance, this is a positive development for the long-serving track. Statement issued by the ACI says, “The general council of the Automobile Club d’Italia has therefore given a mandate to President Angelo Stichhi Damiani to continue the negotiations with Formula One on the technical and commercial aspects related to the partnership, in order to reach, in a short time, the signing of the contract and make the collaboration fully operational.”

The details of the deal are yet to be public but ACI said they are on board with financial aspect the partnership.

For the first time, Vietnam will be participating in F1 next year. The race will be organized in Hanoi. Formula one is interested in a race in Netherlands where the historic Zandvoort track is located. Though the last race the track has seen was in 1985. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has a huge fan base in the country. They have their eyes are on that demography.
