The NHL Network’s Behind the Glass will put the spotlight on the Philadelphia Flyers this year. The all access series will follow the team through training camp and the NHL preseason.
Behind the Glass has been called a hockey version of Hard Knocks, and the comparison seems apt and not that original. All sports seem to have a show now that follows the model HBO and NFL Films introduced in 2001. Behind the Glass debuted last year and focused on the New Jersey Devils.
A trailer for the new season, which premiers on September 25, dropped on Twitter yesterday.Phil

Whereas the NFL gives teams breaking in a new head coach an exemption from participating in Hard Knocks, it seems to be something the NHL is looking for in Behind the Glass participants. An NHL Network press release promises that Alain Vigneault and his first season with the Flyers will be a focus of this season.
Another developing theme for Behind the Glass is international travel. Last season, the show followed the Devils to Sweden and Switzerland. This season will see the Flyers go to the Czech Republic to take on the Chicago Blackhawks.
