In its second iteration, the versatile training shoe will be available in men’s and women’s sizes (shown). With a flexible Nike Free outsole and some of the stability of Nike Metcon, the shoe is built to take on everything from a short run to a studio class to free weights and kettlebells.

New to the 2: a larger durable TPU strap (it’s integrated with the laces) that wraps the midfoot and heel to provide extra lock-in when needed; a bootie construction with a pull tab for more ankle support; the midsole is made up of a firmer foam than the previous version, which adds a little more stability for lifting.

The Nike Free x Metcon 2 will be available for NikePlus members March 28 then globally on April 4.
