Tamil Nadu Premier League and Nippon Paint have come together in a sponsorship deal. The Japanese paint company has been touted as the number one paint brand in Asia has linked the deal co-powered by category of brands.

Mahesh S Anand, the president of Nippon Paint India said, “Cricket is not only the most celebrated sport in Tamil Nadu but also a favorite pastime for athletes, aficionados and fans. Predicted on turning passion into profession, TNPL’s growth in the last three years in terms of viewership, player development and fan engagement is testament that it is an impactful media property for branding, both online and offline. We are happy to be co-powered by sponsor and look forward to supporting Tamil Nadu Cricket.”

The deal is facilitated by sports marketing agency TCM.

In Dindigul, the fourth edition of TNPL has started with the home team Dindigul Dragons beating the former champion ‘Chepauk Super Gillies’ in a closely contested match.

Five cities will serve as the venues of the tournament. Eight franchises are taking part in it with more than 100 of players from all over the state.

India cements’ brand Shankar Cement is the tile sponsor of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association-owned league, which also has on board brands like Sharon Ply, SNJ VSOP, BKT Tyres, Sin Denim, fantasy cricket website dotball.com, online pharmacy Netmeds, TVS and Sprite.
