In a bid to improve the Nutrition of women, adolescents, and children, Nutrition clinics have been set up in Kerala as a part of the statewide project ‘Sampushta Keralam’ launched by the Women and Child Development Department. Inaugurated by the Health Minister of Kerala State KK Shailaja, the nutrition clinic is going to be set up in each of the 152 blocks and six corporations in Kerala.

While inaugurating the health minister said that the Nutrition Clinics will be a crucial initiative in the project. She added that the project projects to help assess and meet the nutritional requirements of individuals, offer nutritional counseling, and bring the necessary changes to bring the daily lives of beneficiaries to an appropriate level.

The Nutrition experts will deliver proven practical dietary suggestions to the beneficiaries to raise awareness amongst them. The project will ensure the healthy growth and physical development of children besides strengthening their immune system. In addition, the health minister also released leaflets and posters displayed at the nutrition clinics.
