In the wake of the opening ceremony of the 2018 Men’s Hockey World Cup in Bhubaneswar, the state government declared holiday for all educational institutions in Bhubaneswar on November 27th i.e. today.
In addition to the educational institutions, the state Odisha government has also instructed all banks, financial institutions, government offices across the state to call off after 1:30 pm today.
Every arrangement has been made in the capital city of Odisha, Bhubaneswar where the 14th edition of men’s hockey world cup is scheduled to happen starting from November 28th to December 16th at Kalinga Stadium.
In the global event, a toll of 16 countries are taking part including Belgium, Argentina, New Zealand, Australia, England, the Netherlands, Germany, Ireland, Canada, China, Pakistan, Malaysia, South Africa and Spain.
Earlier, The chief minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik has met captains of all 16 countries in front of Mukteswar gate in Bhubaneswar and bid them best wishes for the tournament.
