ONE Championship seals a Series D financing round with Sequoia Capital worth of US$166 million

ONE championship (ONE), the largest global sports media property has made a deal in US$166 million with the Series D financing round led by Sequoia capital.

With the new funding of $166 million, ONE Championship now has a total capital base that exceeds US $250 million, as per statement released in a press copy by the ONE. The major sports media property will continue to dominate market leading position in the sports media industry in Asia with this latest investment.

Being the largest global sports media property in Asian history, this Singapore based organisation ONE Championship is the world’s largest martial arts organisation which hosts all forms of martial arts like Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Karate, Kung Fu, Silat, Sanda, Lethwei, Mixed Martial Arts, Tae Kwon Do, Submission Grappling, and more.

Amid much promotion, boxing and kickboxing matches have reached to its busy schedule including a title defending match by the WBC super flyweight boxing champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai last weekend in Bangkok.

ONE championship will make its maiden presence in Japan and Vietnam in 2019.

ONE championship hosts the largest sports entertainment event across Asia, including some of the major martial arts and world championship, all signed to exclusive contracts, on the largest media broadcast in Asia.

Along with some of the largest global broadcasters including Fox Sports, ABS-CBN, Astro, ClaroSports, Bandsports, Startimes, Premier Sports, Thairath TV, Skynet, Mediacorp, OSN, and more, ONE championship broadcasts matches to more than 1.7 billion viewers across 138 countries across the world.
