PUB G Mobile Campus Championship 2018 is announced to happen in India which will start from 26th September to 21st October 2018.
While announcing today the Chinese company, Tencent Games who owns the game has announced their collaboration with the Chinese smart phone brand Oppo as the official sponsor of the PUB G Mobile Campus Championship 2018 .
Amid rising eSports growth in India, the tournament is set to get young participants on-board from more than 1000 colleges from 30 + cities across the country with a prize money of ₹50 lakhs ($70,000) sponsored by Oppo. It should be noted that the chineses smart phone brand Oppo also sponsor Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Indian cricket team.
Developed Tencent Games in collaboration with the PUBG Corp, PUBG Mobile is an ever rising Video game based on battle-royale genre video game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds that was originally launched for PC and Xbox One. In the video game, 100 players drop in to a remote island to do a battle. In order to win, players are needed to locate and pick their own weapons and other warfare artillery and supplies to defeat their counterparts.
In the tournament, a team of 4 students can take part and compete. Grand finals scheduled to be held in silicon city of Bangalore, contenders have to cross four knockouts including the semi-finals which subsequently shortlist 20 teams for the trophy. Registrations will be open via the official website www.pubgmobile.in from 7th September 2018 till 23rd September 2018

The Tournament will have a number of special awards for the matches at the Grand Finals: MVP – Overall Best Player with maximum number of MVP awards; The Executioner – Awarded for maximum kills overall; The Medic – Awarded for highest number of revives; The Redeemer – Awarded to the player with the highest amount of health restored; The Rampage Freak – Awarded for maximum kills in one lobby; The Lone ranger – Awarded for Maximum Time Survived in game.
