For 2019-20 season, German sports apparel brand, Puma will provide all the sports equipment and accessories. Both the companies have entered a joint agreement till the next season. Apart from sponsoring the best players of the league, Puma is also aiming to sign deal with other two prominent clubs of the market, Valencia CF and Girona FC. The deal is costing Puma $5.6 million Euro.

Previous provider, Nike couldn’t meet the requirement of the league. President Javier Tebas was apparently unhappy with the quality of the football provided. Nike had been with LaLiga since 1996.

After the agreement with Puma, LaLiga’s marketing and commercial director Juan Carlos Diaz said, “It is an honor for a historic sports brands like Puma to want to associate with the best league in the world. We are convinced that this agreement will be fruitful for both companies and will allow us to continue acing our future challenges.”

Puma’s director for Sports Marketing, Johan Adamsson, declared, “We are extremely proud to have partnered with one of, if not, the best football league in the world. The ball is the most essential item in football, this sponsorship is the epitome of performance. LaLiga has some of the world’s best team and players and this is another step in our efforts to achieve ‘No football without Puma and it ensures an even stronger reach for our brand.”
