The Super Bowl XLVIII champion and Niners Star cornerback Richard Sherman launched his own Fantasy Football Platform which will be known as Daily Number.
Initially launching in 23 states, Daily Number will position itself as an alternative option to other daily fantasy games which will let users to make their own customised players line ups and target score that is developed by the proprietary algorithms.
Sherman will not only act as a co-founder of this new Fantasy sports, but also is the chief brand ambassador of the Daily Sport. The Four Time pro bowler clarified that his involvement to the game won’t be restricted to its brandishing as he will also do the marketing aggressively.
“Fantasy football has been growing steadily over the years and I’ve wanted to get directly involved with it. It’s become such a huge industry,” Sherman told US business publication Forbes earlier this week.
“It has better connected fans to players and I think it helps them know players better, plus the ups and downs (we) go through on the field. And it helps the biggest fans feel more invested in the game.”
Chief executive Tom McAuley added: “We are driven by the opportunity to develop a proprietary platform and customer database that will be extremely valuable to many industry stakeholders as sports gaming continues to evolve in the United States.”
Sherman’s move into fantasy sports comes as a surprise for a player who last year railed against the league’s injury reports existing only for the benefit of the gambling industry.
“Fantasy football, oh, my God,’’ he said the Seattle Times in September 2017. “They are almost as bad as the gamblers.”
The technology incorporated by the Daily Number is a kind of Algorithms which give rewards to the participants who choose lesser-known players performing well on the field while the game relatively rewards lesser to those who stock their fantasy teams with some big shorts players.

Daily Number was originally conceptualized by longtime entrepreneur Tom McAuley, an Austin, Texas-based investor, who previously founded Hubstar, a VC-backed sports media company, along with March Madness fantasy hoops platform Realtime Brackets. Sherman thinks that Daily Number’s different take offers something other than just another venue for fans to play fantasy football.
