Rohan Bopanna, one of the leading tennis doubles player on Wednesday partnered with The Sports School which will deliver programmes in different sports including tennis, football and cricket along with regular Schooling.
The training school which is tentative to be operational from the 2019-2020 academic sessions spreads over 19 acres of campus.
The school will house key infrastructure for the sports developmental programme including FIBA standard two Basketball Courts, Seven Tennis Court and 65 Yards Cricket grounds along with six practice net cages. As per the report published in Business Standard, Rohan Bopanna responses over the partnership and said,” I am delighted to be an integral part of The Sports School, which aims to create next-gen professional sportspersons. The Rohan Bopanna Tennis Academy would offer tennis coaching exclusively through the school”.
He added more,” At RBTA, we have always been committed to delivering the finest and the most comprehensive tennis development programme for future champions. With the school we aim to create Olympians and Grand Slam Champions”.
The Chairman of the Jain Group of Institution Chenraj Jain informed that the Jain Group of Institutions will cater as the education partner while the entire schooling and management programmes will be looked after by the Jain University.
He added “The School will undertake CBSE syllabus programme with PU courses following the Karnataka State Board”.
An estimated sum of rupees 100 crore invested on building the school and another rupees 75 crore will be raised to build additional infrastructure.
