Summit Climbing, Yoga & Fitness opened its largest location to members in August at 3105 William D. Tate Ave., Grapevine, according to a company representative. The gym will be open to the public after its grand opening on Oct. 1. The location is the company’s seventh facility across North Texas and Oklahoma, according to a press release.
The gym is 36,000 square feet in total with over 13,000 square feet of rope climbing and over 6,000 square feet of bouldering, the release stated. Summit has yoga and fitness studios that offer cardio and weightlifting equipment. The gym also has bouldering walls across two mezzanines, the release stated.
“We are excited for Grapevine to be the home of our largest gym to date, allowing us to provide our long-time Summit members and new climbers with a Texas-sized climbing experience,” said CEO of Summit Gyms Jason McKenzie in the release. “The DFW climbing community has grown significantly over the past 20 years, and our Summit gyms continue to bring innovative and challenging activities to enthusiastic climbers of all skill levels.”
