In a major rejig to the Indian national cricket team’s outfit, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has planned to launch New Jersey for the Indian national cricket team just weeks ahead of ICC World Cup 2019.
In association with the major sportswear brand Nike, BCCI is going to unveil the new look of the Indian national team’s jersey on the 1st March in Hyderabad, a day ahead of the first ODI against Australia.
Playing their first One day match in Indian condition this year, the men in blue will take on team Australia which is scheduled to be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on 2nd of March.
Revealing the news, the notable sports journalist and also the broadcaster, Chetan Narula tweeted saying “Since this is a World Cup year. Team India’s new Nike ODI jersey is to be launched in Hyderabad on March 1.”
Following an age old tradition of launching a new jersey just one month before the beginning of the major Global event of world Cup, the BCCI has come up again launching all new Jersey before World Cup 2019 . In 2015, the Indian cricketing squad got the New Jersey just before the tri-lateral series with England and Australia.
The upcoming cricket world cup is scheduled to start from May 30th which will be played in England and Wales, India has won the twice- in 1983 under the captaincy of Kapil Dev and 2011 under the MS Dhoni- and now the team will be eyeing for their third title in England.
