Visa is all set launch innovative payment mechanism for Olympics and Paralympics games fans coming to Japan.
The multinational financial services company announces to render innovative payment experience to the international fans coming to japan at the time of Tokyo 2020 and Paralympic games.
This year the multinational payment services company, Visa has revamped its partnership with the international Olympic Committee (IOC) up to 2032 in order to bring new experience to the sports fans by using its Innovations centres.
IOC president Thomas Bach noted: “As we introduce innovations that help improve fan experiences both on site and at home, we know that no matter where in the world the Olympics take us, Visa is the right partner to help us deliver them.”
In an event held last wee, Visa which has been a consistent payment sponsor of the Olympics games for more than 30 years, shared blueprints for new payment methods which might be seen at future Games. At the event several innovative mechanism were exhibited including remote digital ticket purchasing, bio-metric authentication for stadium entry, smarter and streamlined retail shopping, and “in-home couch commerce” using augmented reality were some of the major mechanism shown.

Planning for the upcoming Olympic Games helps Visa develop industry leading payments solutions that will redefine fan experiences and leave a legacy of improved digital commerce everywhere.”
The next Olympic and Paralympic Games take place in Tokyo in the summer of 2020.
